The purpose of Journal Club on the GI Learn web site is to provide concise reviews of timely and important articles published in the AGA’s journals, Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Most of the articles reviewed will have clinical relevance to members and fellows in training. The abstract is included along with a review of the article written by one of the editors. The purpose of the review is to provide a detailed and condensed summary that reveals the essential clinical importance of the article. The review should provide enough information to be used as a time saving device for clinicians.
